Agony: Jamie Parker Samuel Barnett
Jamie Parker, of History Boys fame and, more recently, a wonderful Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead appeared at the Pheasantry, on the Kings Road, singing a programme of Sondheim songs - with a little Guettel, Rodgers and Loesser thrown in.
He was joined, at times, by his partner, Deborah Crowe, and co-star in both the Stoppard and Bennett plays, Samuel Barnett. All three got together for a nightmarish (in a good way) Getting Married Today - although they were not necessarily playing the parts you might think.
Earlier, Jamie and Sam joined forces as the Princes and sang Agony.
Someone really needs to sign them up for Company, soon.
It’s a big “thank you” to Jamie Parker, who put the audio of the whole gig out into the Twittersphere.
I literally cannot stop listening to this one in particular. GOOD GOD THEY’RE BOTH SO GOOD.
I need a bait and eyeliner.
Tina. Playing around with a blog instead of doing whatever it is I am supposed to be doing.
